Leadership Make and Takes – Part 3

Here is the final installment of Make and Takes from Leadership.  They were all so fun to make.  I hope they inspire you to do some creating of your own.

Each of today’s projects use my new favorite the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit. Even the cute little flag came from this kit.

This cute little Fancy Favor Box is perfect for any small gift.  I absolutely love the detail on the intricate decorative top.

This print inside the frame was created with My Digital Studio.  The embellishments are added to the outside of the frame with . . . you guessed it, the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit

And finally, a gorgeous scrapbook page.  Now to find a picture worthy of this fun and flirty 8 x 8 page.

So . . . which of these make and takes was your favorite?

Leadership Make and Takes – Part 2

Here is the next batch of wonderful Make and Takes from my Stampin’ Up! Leadership trip!

This lovely card uses the Blossom Builders Kit and is already on it’s way to a friend who is recovering from surgery.  Get well soon, Debbie!!

Stampin’ Up! didn’t provide the Mason Jar, but I just happened to have one handy.  I think they are a required household item when you live in the South :-) By the way that is paper under the lid (not fabric).  Did you know you could do that?  Leave a comment if you want to know how.

This card uses the Tea Stain Stampin’ Spot from Stampin’ Up!’s Distressing Essentials Kit to antique the edges.  I REALLY like the effect.  I have to admit I have looked at this product in the catalog and thought to myself, “I don’t need that, I can antique Chocolate Chip or Sahara Sand.”  But, this gives a much more subtle look.  I can see that I will be using it a LOT!

Leadership Make and Takes – Part 1

I want to show you the wonderful Make and Takes that Stampin’ Up! provided for us at our 2012 Leadership Conference in San Antonio, TX.

They had TEN make and takes for us!! Here are 3 of them.

This card was so fun to make because it took me outside of my comfort zone.  I wouldn’t normally put these colors together, but I really love the results!  The flowers came from the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit.  LOVE IT!

This cute gift bag features the Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit again. It is cut out with the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die.  So quick and easy!

This bright and cheery card makes me smile! Wondering where the adorable yellow flower came from? Once again, Blossom Builders Designer Printed Kit.

Stay tuned for more Leadership Make and Takes – coming soon.

A Sticky Situation!

I absolutely LOVE my Tombow Multi Purpose Adhesive (110755).  It has a dual tip for placing adhesive exactly where you want it. You can place an exact small amount using the small tip, or spread the adhesive over a larger area using the wide tip.

And I swear it must have some magical property.  It never fails, I think a bottle has finally come to an end, but then I give it a shake and to my amazement I can squeeze more glue out of it.

As a result, I have ended up saving a bunch of them for those little squirts of glue I need on small projects.  I was running out of room to store all of this wonderful stuff.  So I decided to take action!!

First, I gathered up all of my almost empty glue bottles.

Then I removed the wide end of one of the bottles. Note: it comes off very easily if you unscrew it backwards. I'm sure there is a logical reason, I just don't know what it is. All those years of "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey" for nothing :-)

Then, I removed the narrow end of the second bottle. Note: It unscrews very easily, but again, backwards.

Next, I inserted the narrow end of one bottle into the wide end of the other bottle. For stability, I put the bottom bottle in a jar full of beads. You can also use rice, beans or sand. Just don't get any in the glue :-)

I allowed the glue to drain from one bottle to the other. I occassionally tilted the bottle to allow it drain even more off of the ridge at the neck.

Voila! I went from 5 almost empty bottles to 2 (the 3rd bottle in this jar is a new bottle). Note: For best results, I store my glue bottles upside down. This keeps the glue in the tip and "ready to go."

If you need some of the amazing adhesive, give me a call today.  I will be happy to place an order for you.

More Leadership Goodies!

Stampin’ Up! really is the BEST!  They take care of their Customers and they certainly take care of their Demonstrators.  Today we got a TON of information to help us  build our business and be the best Demonstrators we can be.

This morning, Shelly (Stampin’ Up! ‘s co-founder), told us about some FABULOUS changes coming soon.  I can’t wait to tell you about all them.  I just love how SU! is always adapting to suit the needs of their Customers, their Demonstrators and their Company.

These are all of the wonderful goodies we got at our Main Stage Presentation today.  Good thing I brought a big suitcase with me.

And this was our lunch YUM!  I couldn’t even finish it, it was so big.  I feel like a pretty spoiled little girl right now. But, I think I can take one more day of it. What do you think?
