I’m a lucky mom! My son is a senior in high school and still loves to give out Valentines. I guess when you grow up with a crafty mom you just get used to hauling projects to school to give away And . . . what high school kid is going to say no to candy, right?
So, this is what Hayden will be taking to school on Friday. I used the stamp set from the January 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit to stamp the labels. I also used some of the leftover Baker’s Twine from both January’s and November’s kits. They were so easy to put together. Can’t wait to see how his friends liked them.

Oh my goodness!! I just returned from the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Leadership in Orlando, FL. It was so AMAZING!!
There are so many things that I LOVE about events like this one. We learned so many wonderful techniques, got to see TONS and TONS of awesome samples from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators around the world, and got treated like queens. But . . . one of my very favorite parts is SWAPPING!
What is swapping you ask? Well, swapping is when you make several cards of one design, and then swap them with others who have done the same.
The card above was my swap.
And these are the AMAZING cards I got in return. I wish I had made 50 more!!
Wanna’ see some of them up close and personal?
I just ADORE the way this demonstrator used the Whisper White Baker’s Twine (Item# 124262) to add a fun accent to this card.
My friend Cheryl, who I met at Leadership this year, made this sweet card. I love the texture she added with the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Item# 133520) and the clean and simple style.
How about this ADORABLE Cheerful Critters Stamp Set (Item# 137932)?!?!?!? It comes with 3 super cute critters and 5 interchangeable sentiments to put in the sign above the critter’s head.
And . . . I saved the best for last. Just look at this hunky lumberjack dude! Wouldn’t this be perfect for a super sweet masculine Valentine’s Day card? The Wood You Be Mine Stamp Set (Item# 137134) comes with 11 stamps, including a solid colored shirt.
Stay tuned for more up close looks at the amazing swaps I received.
I thought I would start today’s post by showing you the video for the December Paper Pumpkin Kit. Check it out and see the super cute cards that the kit is designed to make. Then . . . take a look at the 6 cards I made with the leftovers and a few simple items from my supplies.
For the first 3 cards, I simply used some Card Stock, Baker’s Twine and the leftover negative space from the star confetti.
For the next 3 cards, I simply used Card Stock along with the negative space from the sentiment stickers.

I am so IN LOVE with Paper Pumpkin and I am head over heels for this card!! My favorite part about it . . . it uses TRASH Now, by trash, I mean negative space, leftovers, the stuff that comes in your Paper Pumpkin kit that is typically meant to be thrown away.
To give you some perspective, this kit was supposed to make NINE cards. But . . . with a few basic items from my stash, I was able to get TWENTY-EIGHT cards out of it!!
Stay tuned and I will show you what I used and the FABULOUS cards I was able to make!

Don’t throw out those Paper Pumpkin scraps!! Look at what you can do. Use the negative space from your Paper Pumpkin snowflakes to make an awesome card front design.
Wondering where I got the Lost Lagoon Baker’s Twine? I just used a sponge dauber to add color to the Twine that came in the kit. Easy Peasy
Can you find the scraps in the pic below? First of all, the letters themselves are scraps from the original tag instructions. And then, the “holes” in the letters came from the inside of the silver tag reinforcers (top tag) and the tags themselves (bottom tag).
This month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit is so adorable. Check out the video to see everything you get. Then look at what I did with some of my leftovers.
Use up some of your leftover Paper Pumpkin Kit pieces to make these fun chocolate treats. Don’t miss out! Sign up for next month’s kit.
