Perfect Polka Dots Embossed Hearts Card

Another quick and easy card for a friend or Valentine. The Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder really adds an extra touch to this otherwise simple card.

What I Think I Do – the Paper Crafter Version :-)

I just love the “What _____ Think(s) I Do” memes that are floating around the internet.  So, I thought I would make one for all of the paper crafters out there.  Let me know what you think.  I think it’s funny!  Hope you do too :-)

Masculine Valentine’s Day Card

Having trouble coming up with a masculine card?  Here’s a quick and easy “guy” card for you to CASE (Copy And Share Everything)!

I made it for Valentine’s Day, but it would work for anniversaries, birthdays or just to say “I Love You”!  This card features “Well Worn” Designer Series Paper,  Cajun Craze card stock, Soft Suede card stock and Hemp Twine.

A Nugget of Love

Happy Valentine’s Day!!!  Hope you have a super day with the ones you love.  Here is the Valentine I made for my teenage son.  It will be hanging from his bathroom mirror when he wakes up :-)

I used two punches from the Petal Card Punch to make the hearts.  It’s the perfect size for a Hershey’s Nugget.

Other Supplies Used:

  • Cherry Cobbler Card Stock
  • Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine
  • Varsity Letters Alphabet Stamp Set

Have a great day and don’t eat too much chocolate :-)

Happy Birthday to My Hubby!!

Today is my hubby’s birthday!!  I’m not gonna’ tell you how old he is, but let’s just say this is his last year in this particular decade :-)

I wanted to make him a treat.  I’ve seen these cake boxes before and I finally got up the nerve to try one out.  It was soooo easy!  I LOVE it!!

I used Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Very Vanilla card stock.  The flower accents are made with crumpled up 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punches.

The sentiment comes from the Word Play stamp set.  I stamped it onto a 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and then layered it onto two 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punches.  The “candle” is rolled card stock stuffed with yellow tissue paper.

And . . .the best part is, it’s stuffed with CANDY!!  YUM!  Sweets for my sweetie!

Happy Birthday Baby!!!!

Did You Know?

Did you know that approximately 150 million Valentine’s Day cards are exchanged each year. Valentine’s Day is the second most popular card-sending holiday after Christmas.  Who will you be sending a card to this year??

Color Inspiration

Today I went with my husband to buy some new ties.  It so wasn’t the boring errand I thought it was going to be.  All the COLORS!!! I wasn’t anticipating being inspired at Men’s Wearhouse of ALL places.

I’ll be creating a card inspired by one of these ties.  Which pic should I choose?

I love the blue and brown combinations in these ties!

This bunch is kind of monochromatic, but the green one had me thinking of St. Patrick’s Day.

I always have trouble with orange.  I would never think to put blue with it.  It looks awesome here though.  Gonna’ have to try that.

Leave a comment and let me know which color combo you would like to see me try.  I will post the card here on my blog.
